Things to do with my 9 month old son??

Hey girls,

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a "Mommy and Me" type thing that they really like. My son is just turning 9 months and I'd really like to sign up for something in the spring. I'm not too picky about what--I've been looking at Safe-T-Swim, Gymboree, Music Together, etc., and would just like some feedback. I'd like for it to be on a weekend and somewhere around the Islip/Bay Shore area. I would relly appreciate any suggestions!! TIA

My sister used to take her son to a class at the Little Gym. It was cute - they sang songs, marched around, there were all these apparatuses for the babies to crawl on and over. There's one in Sayville but check the website - there's quite a few on the island.

I've taken DS to My Gym. They have classes on the weekends and also free plays that are included in the price (usually some are during the week after work).

I am putting it off for now because it's not currently in the budget!

The one I have gone to is in Lindenhurst/West Babylon in the Great South Bay shopping center.

Hi good question! I have a 9 month old son too and I was just thinking about signing him up for some classes too!

I checked out My Gym and it sounds really great...a bit expensive but worth a look!

Have you tried your children's department at your library..they usually have programs for babies! GOod luck! Chat Icon

Try posting this question on the parenting board. You will prob get a ton of responses.
Librarys have some programs for all ages too.

DD is 8 months old and we go to music together. She LOVES LOVES LOVES it. She smiles, bangs on the instruments, and rocks back and forth to the music. Come the spring I will be signing her up for Safety Swim.
