The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

Just finished it and loooooooooooooved it. I really, really loved this series.

Soooo I read online that Stieg Larsson had almost finished writing the 4th book of the series and outlined up to 6 more books for the series. Anyone have any idea if they are going to finish it based on his outline? I mean, it probably won't be the same since it's a different writer, but I want more! Chat Icon

I don't think so. There is a huge battle going on over his estate including the 4th book. I'd read a really good article a while back about it, if I remember where it was I'll update with the link.

Thanks, I've read the same and that it was his errrm lady friend who helped him write the books? But that the family doesn't want her to finish them and get the money because they were never married? Chat Icon I don't care who gets the money, just write my book! Please!

How many books are in the series?

Could you tell me what it's about...I think I may want to read it next.

The first book is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo...

there were 3 books released before the Author died.

This is the Synopsis from B&N.com

A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga,
love story, and financial intrigue.

It's about the disappearance forty years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden . . . and about her octogenarian uncle, determined to know the truth about what he believes was her murder.

It's about Mikael Blomkvist, a crusading journalist recently at the wrong end of a libel case, hired to get to the bottom of Harriet's disappearance . . . and about Lisbeth Salander, a twenty-four-year-old pierced and tattooed genius hacker possessed of the hard-earned wisdom of someone twice her age who assists Blomkvist with the investigation. This unlikely team discovers a vein of nearly unfathomable iniquity running through the Vanger family, astonishing corruption in the highest echelons of Swedish industrialism, and an unexpected connection between themselves.

I ended up loving the series but really was not impressed by the first book. I'm glad I decided to finish up the series though because I really enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd book. The 2nd was my favorite
