Valentine's day dedication to our furry loves..

I honestly think my cat has made me a better person.. I know this makes me sound like a crazy cat lady, but he taught me how to be responsible, and how to work to get that love and affection from someone.. I just can't talk my way with him, I have to "earn" it.. and most of all patience.. he was a stray and he never trusted me and I never really thought that he would be a good fit with me and DH.

Boy was a I wrong, he captured my heart, and I gush over him like a proud momma. Believe it or not.. I know what he wants when he meaows. As much as I love DH and DH loves me... our kitty has brought us together even more, if that makes sense.

Even though I still have to work hard for his affection, and he runs away from me because I demand too much cuddle time, I still love my furball.

Oh and the best, when he runs up to greet me every morning (mostly because he wants food) and when he comes up and gives me a head butt while purring.. the feeling of being loved back by a beautiful creature is just indescribable.

So Happy Valentine's Day to my furbaby.. momma love you sooooooooo much

I love my dog! He is a rescue that lived in a hording situation and was very shy and fearful when we adopted him. In the past year he has become a wonderful pet- Working with him to over come his fears and to learn basic obedience has been an amazing experience. He was our valentine's gift to each other last year! We saw him for the first time on 2/14 and adopted him on 2/15.

I have done my shout out for my cat, Belle, before. She has been my best fur friend as I separated from STBXH and filed for divorce. She is a happy kitty who makes me a happy kitty owner.

Zoey - is sweet and loving

Logan - goofy and cut, he always makes me laugh, and he's snuggily

Sam - well he's the one I have given my heart to the most....after my beloved Schultz died two years ago. After Schultz I didn't think I'd be able to completely give myself to another animal ever again, I'd love them, but not with a full heart, hard to explain. We got Sam as a rescue a year ago, he was 1, and he was a mess, but attached himself to me immediately. It messed with me a bit, I wasn't ready, only 6 months after losing Schultz, to be that close, but Sam wouldn't give up. I'm grateful that he didn't give up on me, because he was still loving me when I was ready to really be in love with him.

Happy Valentine's day to my kitty Hades. (who is a appropriately named ). I was never a cat person before you, but you totally converted me.

Coffee, Moonshine, Mudslide, and Scotch: you guys brighten my day and I'm so glad I got to take you home from the lab after I finished my dissertation. You contributed to science, and now you deserve to just be birds that get to hop around, eat, and chirp.

To my crazy (short) Circuit and finally to our Walter the farting and snoring dog. I'm sure Daddy has some extra good treats for you guys today. Oh and thanks for the beautiful anniversary present yesterday. I will cherish that photo collage forever.
