I hate to even ask this question but, if you had a natural miscarriage

Did you know when you passed the sac?

I've been bleeding, heavier the last two days, but it looks more like stringy. Not really any clots.

I keep looking to see if I passed/am passing the sac and I haven't noticed.

Is this something I could possibly miss?

Again, I'm so sorry, I feel like this is such a terrible question to ask. Chat Icon

To be honest, I refused to look. The Doctor told me I didn't have to and they would do a sono and blood work to confirm once the bleeding slowed down. I did at some point, but I was passing so many clots, I am not sure when I passed the actual sac...I am so sorry Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

There was definitely one point where the cramps got really bad and I started passing large clots....after that the bleeding became much less.Chat Icon

Yes. Blood clots and the actual sac look completely different. The sac was more like a ball and looked kind of fleshy.

Re: I hate to even ask this question but, if you had a natural miscarriage

mine wasnt natural but im pretty sure i passed some stuff... with the methotrexate most of the time its absorbed back into your body... but i saw what looked like a glob of ewcm with brown streaks in it... it happened 3 days after i got the shot...

i have no clue if it was anything significant... i tried looking online for what it should look like...

Yes. I had severe cramps, worse than what I get for AF, to the point I was in the fetal position on my bed. I then passed something that looked like a large clot/tissue, and I assumed that was the sac. My cramping greatly subsided after that.

TMI-
If you're looking, you'll know when you pass it. I promise. It's shape is abnormal, not as perfect or circular as a clot. It looks "fleshy." Mine wasn't as red as blood but more purplish in color, oblong, and looked sorta like a peach pit or like a brain! KWIM? I also had heavy cramping before which lightenend afterwards.

Dont think I am kidding....the Dr gave me a sterile cup and told me to "catch it" and I did. KNOWING that I wanted it tested I did it. Looking back I am a little skeeved at the whole notion and shocked that they had me do this. Pretty much I saw all kinds of things. if you want more graphics FM me. I will tell you what exactly to look for. Is there a purpose though? Are you testing it like me? TBH the likelihood ofit still being there IMO would be slim but who knows. what were your betas again?

I never saw anything, i did have some pretty decent sized clots, which I assumed was the sac. IDk, i couldnt LOOK to much without getting sick. After my 4th beta finally went down, i knew things were done.

Re: I hate to even ask this question but, if you had a natural miscarriage

No and then yes.

One PG I lost at 10 weeks....I was bleeding brown, then red for a day , went to ER , it got heavy. By the time they did the sono , they saw nothing left. I did not need a d & C etc.

My last loss I was 14 weeks. I was also in the ER ( I seem to miscarry on the weekends when the Dr is closed Chat Icon ) and I felt a lot of cramps pressure, I went to the bathroom and felt liek I had to push ( very very mild push but the need like somethign was there) and something came out...I wont go into details, but I called the nurse in and she tried to get it to show the Dr ( so I wouldnt have to go for a d and c..but she couldnt) ...and I went for the d & C anyway b/c I was 14 weeks, and sure enough the Dr. said afterwards there was nothing left.

UGH....this is so hard, I'm so sorry Diana. I know how you have all these thoughts, questions, fears etc.

I think at least for me, I know I HAD to ask, so I hope you dont feel weird, and ask what you need to to get past what you can. Chat Icon
