What type of dog food do you feed your big dog?

I have a black lab and a German Shepard. They are both a bit overweight. The vet told me today that Kibble and Bits is a big no no. THis is what they both have been eating for years. Before Kibbles and Bits, we fed them Pedigree but that made my shepard get sick due to her sensitive stomach.
I don't want to spend a fortune on dog food though. Any suggestions?

I feed my dog two different foods- Solid gold wolfking and Blue Buffalo Fish and sweet potato. He is picky and gets bored. Both brands are a bit $$$ but my dog has allergies so I can not feed him any food that contains corn, wheat, lamb or fillers.

my mom has a shepherd mix and she has stomach issues that lead to pancreatitis. The vet told her to get the Science Diet Light formula, which has a lot of fiber and low fat. I also use it for my cocker because he has colonitis issues

I have two German Shepherds. They are both in the 75-85 lb range - neither are overweight, in fact, one is about 5 lbs underweight.

They both get either:

Innova for Large Breed Dogs (either the bag with the GSD on the cover or the Great Dane)

OR

Wellness for Large Breed Dogs.

We have a yellow lab. He's about 90 lbs and he gets Blue Buffalo dog food.

my dog loves the iams - not the one meant for big dogs - he and my mom's dog loves the one that is small pellet

When my dog (lab/golden mix) was rescued from a shelter apparently she was overweight, so she was put on Wellness Healthy Weight.

By the time we adopted her from the rescue organization she was at the appropriate weight, but the vet said if the food was working with her to stick with it, since keeping her weight in check would help prevent hip problems or other issues later on since she's mostly lab.

Turns out she has "empty tummy" issues so she is fed twice a day and gets snacks in between, so this food (and making sure many of those snacks are fresh veggies) - combined, I'm sure, with her walks 3x/day - has made it so we can keep her stomach full and her weight at the appropriate number.

It's pricey, but I get the Wellness e-newsletter which includes a $3.00 coupon and PetSmart now carries it and they tend to have a lower price than Petco (although Petco had the whole buy 10 bags get one free thing so it might even out! We just don't get to the total number within the one-year time).

BJ's makes their own Holistic Dog Food

(dry) and its great. No issues and its not

that expensive (16lb $19.99).

Our senior lab mix gets Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Senior. She used to get one of those others that vets say are bad, but DH took her off of it before we were married and did a lot of research and chose this one. She seems to like it and it works for her

We feed our 70 lb lab Blue Buffalo chicken and brown rice.

My Dane eats Blue Buffalo fish & sweet potato.

ETA: He was on Chicken Soup for a dog lover's soul, but the grain upset his stomach.
