Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I always use milk in my meatballs and meatloaf and that makes them soft!

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I use egg obviously, sometimes ketchup, and while i prefer the taste of frying them (of course lol) they come out much softer when baked.

same. milk keeps them moist.

I soak stale bread in a little milk, add egg, and mix in the meat

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
There is a great recipe on wholesomebabyfood.com for turkey meatloaf that's made with pureed veggies. It's super soft and mushy!

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I have been baking mine for DS and then adding just a touch of chicken stock or water when defrosting them. (I make a huge batch and freeze them)

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I have a good one!
I mix - breadcrumbs, parmasean cheese, egg, parsley, and 1 tsp of ketchup (you don't taste it).
Then I lightly brown it in a large pan. Then you pour in chicken stock (I use organice low sodium OR I make it myself) and cover them in broth - you then can add diced cherry tomatoes or a can of diced tomatoes. I also throw in some other veggies to cook in the broth.
They are always nice and soft and very easy to do. You just simmer them until they are cooked. You can serve them with veggies on the side or over some pasta. They were a big hit with the girls when they were 10 months and up.

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I make them with baby oatmeal (instead of breadcrumb or bread) and applesauce (in place of the egg)!

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
Try adding diced apple too. Also, try to use ground chicken. I find it a bit more flavorful as well as cooks up more moist.

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
I cook mine in the sauce that I'm serving them with. Then when I take them out, they're firm, but super soft for Chase to eat. And it's barely coated in sauce, so it's not too acidic for him. That's obviously if you're making your own sauce.

Re: how to get turkey meatballs soft?
does DD eat them with tomato sauce on them? if so I would suggest rolling them then putting them into the sauce to cook.
