Has your dog ever gotten sick after chewing on a Flossy bone?

I heard these bones called "Flossies" help with plaque so I purchased two for both my dogs. One chewed on it and is fine. The other has been vomitting for two days now. I am really unsure if it's from the flossy. I fed her white rice with chicken and she vomitted it up both times.

She is for the most part acting herself. However, I did notice her shaking alittle not long ago almost like shiverring.

I left a message with the vet to have the dr. call me back.

I hope she is gonna be okay. She threw up alot yesterday and three times already today. Chat Icon

My dog has gotten sick from those type of things. Used to throw up every time, big chunks of it too. I would just feed a regular diet and see what happens and no more of those things.

Definitely no more of those bones.. I am sticking to their regular organic treats.

The vet said to just give her a 1/4 of a pepcid pill twice a day. If she's still throwing up, bring her in. She's fine now. Back to her self. She hasn't thrown up all night or this morning! Yay!

I've got a sensitive stomach dog. We stick to elk antlers (we buy online) and Evo Weight Management treats because they're light and not filled with crap. Sometimes people like my inlaws mean well and bring them bones, but I wind up giving them away because I don't want to make my dogs vom. Chat Icon

Thanks for the tips.. yea turns out that new bone I bought was a recommendation from the groomer that I am no longer using...for a seperate issue. Let's just say I will never recommend their services again!

My dog always eats the strings and then the strings end up coming out one way or the other... pretty gross. The only treats we give are the plain flavored milk bones and better than ears, fake pig ears.

Yes, I've a similar problem, my dogs don't get any of those things, raw hides, flossies, greenies, etc.

I get some peanut butter flavored dog biscuits that they have no problem to chew and I brusht their teeth.

My dog had diarrhea after he ate these. Needless to say, he does not get them anymore.
