I just read it last month
I did enjoy it, but for me the ending made the book
Up until then it was just a pleasant story

Re: Water For Elephants

See I read threads like this and I feel bad.. I wanted sooooo much to like this book but I just kind of found it boring.. Chat Icon

I am the type of person who reads two books a week and this book took me three weeks to finish because no matter how much I tried I couldn't get into it! I think I have been reading too much of those da mn YA books! All that teen drama makes the books go by so fast! lol

Re: Water For Elephants

I loved this book!

I'm not looking forward to the movie though.. I rarely ever watch a movie if I've read the book because I'm almost always disappointed. I'll catch it on cable.

Re: Water For Elephants

for me it was just OK.

I kept waiting for the story to actually start...and then id realize i was 2/3 into the book..

i was waiting for bigger things to happen i guess

when i finished the book and it left me unsatisfied

(side bar- did anyone notice the beginnig and the end each seemed to imply different "people" picking up the stake and "using" it?)

was it jacobs perception that changed as he reold the story?

Re: Water For Elephants

Just finished this story and I really liked it. I loved the descriptions of the people and the animals. I loved learning about it. I am glad that I read the suggestions and borrowed it for my nook.
