ANybody been on deproprovera with unexplained health issues?

I'm sick of it. I was sent 1 year ago to an endocronologist and was diagnosed with PCOS. Funny how I had no problems before this shot because AF came exactly by the hour. Now I'm having hormonal problems and they send me to other specialists. This past year has been exhausting and unreal.

I asked, as soon as I got there, if it was the shot. I was told NO WAY!!! Now I've been doing more research and finding out there are many more women out there going through what I am! I was fine before the shot.

Now my hormones are doing all crazy things, they say I have PCOS, and my prolactin is insane. They keep sending me for brain MRI because they swear I have a brain tumor. Is anybody else going through this? I'm also going through such mood swings it's insane.

How long were you on Depo and when did you stop?

I didn't have any medical problems after stopping - I actually stopped after 2 years b/c of a medical problem that they though may be aggravated by depo. It took 9 months to get my cycles back and it was wacky for a while, but it did go back to clockwork eventually...

I knew someone who had MRIs and all sorts of tests for high prolactin levels - and she was PG!

A friend of mine was just mentioning that one of her friends is having a hard time after going off depo. She went off over a year ago and still hasnt gotten AF... she has been to a ton of doctors and no one knows what is wrong. Keep going to doctors. Try and find someone that specializes in research with depo....dont give up and good luck!

I'm still on it. I'm on my last shot and can't wait for it to end. I was on it for 2 years.
