How Would You Answer This Question?
My CEO does not believe in giving raises (yes, you read that correctly!) however we are eligible for bonuses every year. If we are awarded one, it gets split - half given in December and half in June of the following year.
So how do you answer the 'what is your salary' question at an interview? My annual income has increased over the last few years, but not my base salary (I do not work on commission). How do you explain this without going in to a whole song and dance?

That is how i would put it also. I was in a situation where my bonus boosted my yealry compensation and pretty much described it like above.

Re: How Would You Answer This Question?
many folks here get the same base salary and only get increases with bonus.
That's why when we had no bonuses this year people were really angry.
I agree with the previous posters.
