Rehab Facility that takes a patient on a vent
Eventually we are going to need to find a rehab facility on long island (preferably Suffolk County) that will take a patient on a vent. Anyone have any recommendations for what's good and what's not?
Thanks

St. Charles may have an acute rehab section that would take a patient on a vent.
You will need to find a skilled nursing facility.
I hope that helps.

i don't know about Suffolk (only about Queens) but make sure they have respiratory staff 24/7. some facilities have the nurses doing vent. care and it makes a big difference when it's respiratory staff as opposed to nurses.

Yes, I did hear about that one...but some of the reviews I have seen aren't the best. Do you know anything about it?
