A Personal victory---spin off to cheat post.
I have been dieting for a very long time almost to a fault. My eating disorder has started to take over my life and I am determined to beat it for good this time. My nutritionist has been trying to get me to have a cheat meal once a week since I started with him 2 years ago. Don't get me wrong, I will have a nibble of something not so good for me but never a meal. Or, I will try to adjust my calories before and after so that I don't exceed my daily macros. Well, yesterday was a cheat meal day and I actually did it (well almost..closer than before!) and enjoyed it! I tried to tell myself it is a good thing to indulge and that it will help my body come out of the starvation mode I have created. I ate a delicious salad from the cheesecake factory (dressing on the side still) but ate all of the avocado and beans and corn (which I usuall omit!) I had a few nachos of my husband's and some strawberries and whipped cream! It was DELCIIOUS! The scale definitely reflected my meal this morning but I know that is normal and that it will come down in the next few days. I know this sounds silly btu I was so proud of myself and I knew you ladies would understand!

I know EXACTLY how you feel and it is a great feeling! As we know deep down, one cheat meal isn't going to make us gain weight.
For me, I can't weigh myself ever, especially after meals! I don't use a scale

That's wonderful that you allowed yourself to indulge like that!! It takes time, but you'll be allowing yourself more leverge (and not seeing it on the scale either so no worries) and I hope you continue to enjoy it.
Good job. I know its a big accomplisment for you!

Good for you! I know I struggle with food/weight in the opposite way....so I can imagine I know what your struggle is like. It's a good feeling to know you're the one in control...and not the meals or the food!
