Wish me luck- my school has our JIT this week...Done!
Tuesday and Wednesday- and I fear it's not going to go well- we've been scrambling for weeks because they are looking at every tiny detail it seems, and a school similar to ours (the current principal was AP under my principal) did terribly, and someone from our network told the principal they are coming to shut us down... 
Day 1 Update- So far, so good. They are focusing on math but they are popping into all the rooms, which is fine. The reviewers seem friendly, which I have not found to always be true. (Of course, we'll see what the report says  ) I met with them as part of a randomly chosen team of teachers, and tomorrow I will meet with them as part of the leadership team.

Daisy, I will definitely fill you in! Your school got a lot more notice than we did- we only found out the week before Feb break! Kind of another reason for me to think they want to sink us.

Wow, that's terrible. We got word in December and the dates in January. They've had us all stressed out since December.

Which school is yours?? Ours became a transformation school so we're not getting one but who knows they could change their minds next year. The QR was bad enough!!

Whew...it's over! Overall I think it went well- the team leader told the principal he felt it was good- but they have to present THEIR findings to another team  to make recommendations. I met with them twice; the first time was uneventful but during the second meeting (I am on the school leadership team) one person threw us all under the bus and the principal had to do a bit of damage control.
They focused almost exclusively on math- those teachers had multiple observations that were full periods- but we were all told to expect them in our classrooms, to be asked for lesson plans (even back to January, but that didn't happen) and to have to show our data binders, which I didn't have to do.
We will get their findings and recommendations in a few weeks. I will update again if anyone is interested and if anyone has questions feel free to FM or ask me here.

When I get home I will scan a report I got from another school. It has their findings and recommendations and it was probably the most helpful thing of all the documents. I will also go through my notes and type up/send anything. I also googled "joint intervention team" and got some additional reports of other schools, though they were mostly HS.

Thanks a bunch! I'm going nuts! I googled it as well and it does seem to focus on high schools. We are not even sure why we are getting this. We improve our scores each year. So frustrating.

It may be that you are improving, but still not making AYP. That happened to us- we have small but steady increases but for two years in a row we didn't make AYP in math.
