how long to take them out

so how long did u mommies wait to take the kiddos to at least target or walmart, i know malls and stuff are a no no but i totally need to get some things, i dont have much family around and well they wont be coming out of their little seats...

I haven't taken them out yet (they are 8 weeks) I asked the same question a few weeks ago and alot of moms said they waited 3 months. I don't know if I will make it that long...Ill probably start taking them out in 2 weeks or so. they are getting their shots on monday and then 2 weeks after that they will be getting their rsv shot.

My boys came home from the NICU in September so the weather was beautiful. I was taking them out for walks right away. As far as out in public I waited about 8 weeks and started with places like Babies R us and target.

My twins are due in April. I have every intention of bundling them up and going for walks and/or hitting the playground with DS (almost 3). Fresh air never hurt them and as long as strangers aren't hovering over them/touching them there shouldn't be a problem.

my boys were born in april.. so with the nicer weather we took them out at 4 weeks.
they need the fresh air!

My twins were born in the summer, so they were out right away by 1 week old. Stores I waited a little longer but I don't remember now how old they were.

i have taken my guys out on walks and out to brunch a few times - they also had their baptism party at 7 weeks and went to another baptism party around 3 1/2 months.

they are 4 1/2 months now and i have not yet taken them to stores bc every time i step into one, there is someone coughing or sneezing and i am terrified of them getting the flu while they are this young

once the weather gets nicer and people stop getting so sick i'll take them to stores!

We didn't go to malls, but I would do certain stores late at night or during the week days. My twins were born in November so when they hit 6 - 8 weeks old we had lots of shopping that had to get done and just wanted to be out of the house. We were careful that they stayed in their car seats with the bundle me's covering them and the sun-shades up so they were pretty protected.
