Millneck Manor?
Anyone have any opinions???
I have my annual review tomorrow. I'm looking to move DS.
He's in an 8:1:2 but may be recommended for a 10:1:2 next year.
I'm currently at Brookville Marcus Ave but I'm not staying there.
I'm looking into:
- Millneck Manor
- Barbara C. Wilson
- Boces
- BCCS
Any info on Millneck or any of these school is appreciated.
If you've FMd me and I haven't gotten back to you it's because I'm obsessed with this annual review tomorrow. I'll be in touch

I am doing lots of research as well since DS will be moving into a program in September.
I have heard only good things about BCCS and Barbara C. Wilson.
I am not familiar with Millneck Manor.
DS's therapists and the CPSE coordinator for our district did not feel the BOCES model was a good fit for DS because they felt it was too restrictive.

which BOCES are you looking into?
all BOCES are 6:1:2 classes combined with another 6:1:2 for pre-school and elementary are all 6:1:2
there is ECC and CRC.
DS is in CRC and we LOVE it, but he is also low-mod autistic

I have a meeting with millneck next week so I'll let you know.
The CPSE chairperson didn't think that boces was a good fit for DS.
I didn't apply for bccs and I'm regretting it now.
We meet with Barbara C. Wilson on the 30th. They led me to believe that there was an opening. After seeing the other post I'm worried. Ugh.

Call the district and ask them to send BCCS your packet - did BCCS tell you it was too late?
For us, the district seemed more concerned about gettting DS a placement, not necessarily concerned with where the placement was.
