Can a principal get fired mid year? (especially DOE principals)
If not...why would one resign mid year?
Is march 15th a deadline of any kind?

maybe early retirement? retirement age depends on birthday i believe so maybe thats it...

Apparently it goes by the date you start, so if you started in March and hit 20 years in March, you can retire then instead of waiting until the end of the year. My school just had 2 people retire within the last 2 months because of this.

I worked in a school where a principal was removed in January- and another left in May.

My previous principal resigned in march several years ago.... He didn't give a reason, but it turned out to be for family issues
