UPDATE All better!! My 14 yr. old Grandson is sick today
Donna called last night, saying he had a fever of 103, stuffy nose and sore throat. This kid RARELY gets sick!! Donna is giving him Tylenol, Airborne, cold cloth to the head. I came to stay with him while Mom/Dad are working. Made a pit stop at the store, buying oj, ginger ale, gelatin cups, chicken noodle soup, ice popsicles, a vaporizer, and a new thermometer, which didn't work!! Donna thought her's had died, but thankfully it still worked when I tried it. I also bought two small American subs, for GS and me; Didn't know if he'd want one, but he did, and asked if he could have the other one!!! There went my lunch!!! No, I told him, he could have it, but not until supper!!! Meanwhile, I'll go see what I can have for lunch!! Mary

Yep!!! Just told Donna, it's probably safe to say he doesn't have a strep throat if he could eat a sub!!!! The poor girl was tired, having been up in the wee hrs. to check his temp, then going to work this AM. Mary

Aww, thank you, you're so kind to say that!!! I think, even as a Grandma, my concern and focus is "get that fever down"!!! I couldn't get GS to use all those foods I bought, except for the oj. I remember all the times I was a frazzled Mom, taking care of three little kids with fevers, putting them in the tub, etc. worrying about them..... Mary

Donna said his temp is about 100 today. Sorry to hear about your kids!!! Mary

Well, today, GS is back in school!!!! Although I don't think he's jumping up and down!! I understand he has two days of some special make up tests. Mary
