I can't believe I'm so sad about a TV show ended... I mean, it's a freaking tv show!!

But I'm going to miss these crazy Henricksons

No ending was going to be good enough for me.

And I knew Bill was going to die (I honestly thought his father or Albie would kill him, not crazy neighbor Bob, but whatever.)

I thought that last scene was extremely corny and lame. REALLY? Margene goes off on mission after mission? Where are her freaking kids? And all the psycho polygamists from the compounds just accept Barb as leader? Really??

Whatever. I'm bitter.

What an ending! I knew he would die but not like that. It was so sad.

I thought the last scene was great. Bill dying gave everyone a chance for happiness, which is what fought for.

meeeeh. predictable. i knew i wasnt going to be happy with anything but I just feel like this was a cop out...

i can imagine the writers sitting around a table saying "hmmmm, how can we wrap it all up in 1 hour and tie up as many loose ends as possible" - bam - 1 hour season finale.

i dont feel like they cared. i dont know, it was just ehhh.

it was SO predicatable that Barb would be the next priesthood holder for the new church. As Bill was saying "we will wait for the next sign for a new prophet", Barb walks in? Come on...

Maybe im just sad that its over but it was lame.

I cried when Margene ran back to the girls in tears, I didn't think I would but ahh so sad.

I have been saying all season that Bill was going to be killed, and that it wasn't going to be someone we all expected, he made so many enemies all season I expected it to be someone random that no one would think of. I thought I'd be kind of happy though because I grew to really dislike Bill with his craziness and constant speeches and always insisting he knew the right thing for the family and instead leading them into total crap... but this last episode he turned around so much. I think that he will be revered as a prophet and that the pages he was writing down were like Joseph Smith writing God's words on the tablets that the Mormon faith has always followed. I kind of like that Margene is off doing her volunteer stuff and seeing the world and that the family is supporting her, it's like everyone found their right place in the family and they're sticking together. Even Cara Lynn looked normal and happy.

Before you think the writers just didn't care and had to end it, watch the HBO clip that the writers and cast spoke about it (on demand or on the HBO website)... they said that they decided this was where his character was heading because he always had to push it to the limit and that they kind of made peace with the fact that the series would have to end when they got there.

Ahh I could go on and on, but I am so sad that the show is over. But glad that unlike the Sopranos we got a clear definitive ending.

I loved the episode! I thought the ending was so sad, but they all ended up truly happy. That's what Bill always wanted.

I am so sad that this show has ended. It really was one of my favorites.

I wonder what HBO has in store next!

I was very sad about it, too. DH and I are annoyed that the HBO leads keep dying (we believe Tony is dead). So, now we're waiting for Vince to OD on Entourage.

While I really did love that the writers didn't leave us hanging and showed us what happened 11 months after Bill died, I thought that whole scene was really bad acting. As an above poster said, I felt like everyone was doing what they should be doing. The whole thing with Ben and Heather (did anyone see the wedding bands on their hands?) was weird- and I thought the whole thing with Margene was weird- and I felt like it was bad acting. It just seemed SO fake! I mean, I still did cry when Margene ran back to Barb and Nikki! I am so sad that the series is over!

Right? I've been wondering where Barb's kids have been too. I guess Teeny has been in the bathroom putting on mascara this whole time.

There were a few parts that had me guessing but all in all, I'm glad I have my Sunday nights back. We forced ourselves to finish the season.

I like the idea of him dying as opposed to going to jail. Do we know what happened to Nikkis daughter Carollynn? Did Margene cut her hair IRL first or just for the show? I don't really like the look.
I think it was time for the show to end and I was happy with the ending and closure

I'm still sad over the ending, I wish there was another season at least! I still think they should have made the finale a 2 hour episode. This was one of the best series, my fav next to Dexter.

Many loose ends were tied up, but I would have loved to see the following:

1) Alby get convicted and sentenced to life in prison, rather than where we were left off, him awaiting trial.

2) To see Carolynn get accepted to college or at least see her wanting to go rather than run off with her teacher. Maybe we can assume that she got rid of him since she was then 16 and still in the house?

3) To see Barb lead at least one mass. I would have loved to see her up there.

4) To find out if Ben and Heather plan on living a polygamist lifestyle or not.

5) I would have loved to see that the wives were still pushing to legalize polygamy, finishing the work that Bill started.

6) Since Bill's brother and Wanda were not involved in the last season, it would have been nice to hear something about them.

Teeny went to live with Sarah and Scott after they outed themselves last season.

While I'm the series is over. I really did not like the ending.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but Frank killed Lois right? She most likely asked him to?

I liked the ending. I felt like it tied everything together.

I also liked the fact that they still appear to be a close-knit family after Bill died.

I would have liked to see Bill become the next prophet though
