How do you keep track of the books you have read

My mother used to write the book info, summary & review on index cards and keep them in those plastic boxes that held index cards. Each genre had its own box.....
She had tons of those boxes!!!

Recently I decided to keep a spread sheet.

What do you do? If you keep a spread sheet, how do you organize it?

i never kept track...

im only keeping track this year since we started the thread to read 111 in 2011... and now that i use goodreads.com im keeping track that way by adding them to my read list

I used to do it on Facebook, but that application no longer works. So now I'm on goodreads.com.

I have a spreadsheet. All I track though is date started, date finished, title and number of pages (I really like seeing my total pages read for the year). Mainly I keep track because sometimes I can't remember if I've read something. I guess author would be a good field to have, but I haven't missed it so far.

I just started keeping track of them recently because I joined goodreads.com. I recommend it, it's a lot of fun.

I've been listing them on the tread we have on here...other than that I've never kept track before.

Right now, since I'm just going through Stephen King books, and DW is the one that actually goes to the library for me, I have a spreadsheet of all of his books, then check off the ones that I've read. This way, she can just take the latest printout and see what books are available that I haven't read yet.

goodreads here too. That way I can compare notes with friends.

I use Goodreads. I love it because my other book club friends are on it and I get ideas from them for future books.

Before that I listed titles in my joural, but only sporadically.

i used to keep track with a spreadsheet when i was younger, but haven't done it in years

i've been tracking my books on here, and i think at the end of the year i'm going to put them all into a spreadsheet by year

I used to use Shelfari, but I couldn't figure out how to note when I read them to see what I'd read each year. Can you do that on Goodreads?

Now I use a spreadsheet with title, author, & date completed.

I have a spreadsheet right now of books I've read and books I want to read. As I read them I check them off. That way when I go to the library I can look at a list of what books I want to read and go from there.

I have a pretty book journal that a friend gave me. Recently, I've begun to use Shelfari.com

I have an Excel spreadsheet and I keep them in order by Series read, I also keep a seperate tab of books I want to read and another tab of when the next book in a series is due to come out...I got issues, I know

Gotta try this goodreads.com, now I'm intrigued!

Goodreads...plus most of my friends are on it so I get to see what they're reading and take ideas from there!
