Just signed up for my first 5k
In three weeks! I'm running it with a friend - it's local, so DH is going to take the girls and meet me at the finishline.
I've been running 3.5 miles on the treadmill, so I'm think (hope) I'm ready!
So excited!! Hopefully this is the first of many... many... many future races!

That's great - but I would try to run outside if you can... somewhere safe!!!!

I'm still REALLY spooked and haven't set foot on the pavement since my little incident in the fall. But I'm running the 5k with a friend, so we agreed we would run the route together this Sunday morning. Wish me luck!!

Well, I ran 4 miles last night... just to see if I could handle it, which I could, easily, though I ran at a snails pace. I think I'm ready though!

5ks are so much fun! I bet you become addicted!
I am sure you will do great. With the excitement of the race and the people running along with you, you may even go faster than you expect!
