any tricks to speed up dilation?
I'm 3 cm dilated (last week I was at 0 and this week I jumped to 3 cm) I'm having sporadic mild contractions and sharp pains in the hoo-hah bc the babys head is down low....nothing consistent tho.
What can I do, if anything, to speed up my cervical dilation and get this labor moving?

Lots of walking! I also used a yoga ball towards the end of my first pregnancy. It helped with my back and was pretty comfy to sit on. I swear that helped me get that baby down.

Sex! Something in semen acts similarly to the drugs they give you during labor to soften your cervix and get things going.

Re: any tricks to speed up dilation?
I think I'm gonna try walking as much as I can, it's just so painful cause he presses his little head down there and it stops me dead in my tracks.
Sex is out of the question, DH won't touch me

I am 2-3cm and feeling the same things. I am going to try lots of walking and find more things for me to do around the house.
DH won't come near me either, lol

Yoga ball definitely helps open your pelvis up bringing the baby further down.
Walking.
Red raspberry leaf tea.
DTD.
Castor Oil.

Re: any tricks to speed up dilation?
I'm in the same boat as you except 2 cm I want this baby out NOW!
With DS, the night I went into labor I had this spicy buffalo chicken dip and went for a very long walk. I think I am going to try it again tonight but my baby's head also is really low so walking is just not that comfortable.
