OK paint help needed-pictures inside-Long!

Some may remember I posted that we arre renting a house and have been offered by the lanlord to buy it applying 100% of our rent payments to the DP and purchasing in Oct. After running the numbers we are going to do it. We will be knocking down a wall right away because we have these two weird small rooms right next to each other.

We will be painting in the next couple of weeks as we worked out a deal to split the costs. Right now the house was painted the same color throughout (except for the guest bath and my sons room) The color is a pinky beige and is flat which stinks when you have kids. I am inserting pics below to get some opinions on paint colors. We also plan tio install a glass tile backsplash so would love some opinions on that as well.
Don't mind the clutter-this was done while my kids were napping-didn't have time to clean everything AND take pictures



Kitchen-has white beadboard which will stay and white trim. Light oak floors. Does not get a ton of natural light so we wanted to do something bright, however-I am looking to do blues and browns in the rest of the house so that may come into play.

Dining room-I really really want to paint this a pale blue-but not sure that will look good-different curtains obviously. Don't mind the mis matched chairs-my DH is in the middle of refinishing them.



This is a print that I love that I am sort of basing my color scheme on-though I don;t know what to do about the kitchen

Your dining room made me think of bxgell2 color scheme, even the curtains. I like the way it looks, maybe ask her what color she used?

I'm not much help with paint colors, I'm currently picking colors for our new house too!

First off congrats!!!! So exciting!

I love the idea of a blue in the dining room. I am thinking either a beige in the kitchen. Something like BM Bar Harbor beige or even a warm yellow.

What if yoy did a beige/yellow color for the kitchen. The yellow color will go nicely together. From the picture (inspiration) it looks like you are more on the modern country side of decorating. Then with the blue dining room you can incorporate some of the yellow in there.

I am not sure if that is the angle you are going or if it is even coming out right but I can see it in my head. I will look for pics and try to post.

I think a light blue would look fabulous in the living room. What about BM November Skies?


What about BM cornsilk for the kitchen? Its a soft cheery yellow!

Best thing to do is get a bunch of samples and see how it looks in the room. You'll find that colors look different in everyones house because of the light that each room gets...
