My dog is dragging his @ss on the rug
He doesn't do it a lot, but I have noticed him do it maybe 3x over a month. Why would he do this? I tell him to stop and he does so I don't know if something is bothering him or not. Nothing is on his tush that I can see. He was at the vet for a check up about 6 weeks ago.

Hmm....itchy butt apparently.
Do his anal glands need to be expressed? Some dogs do (mine don't).
Could be worms. Did they check his stool?
Other than that, maybe some crusted poo on his butt?

It sounds like his anal glands need to be expressed. This happens to my dog often I have learned how to express them...it is GROSS! You could give the vet a call and see what they say...they will probably tell you to bring him in.

definitely sounds like the anal glands. my dog does this too. it smells awful when you express them so I usually bring her to the vet to do it, but you can do it on your own if you are brave. lol.

definitely sounds like he needs his anal glands taken care of. I know my vet doesn't do it unless I ask him to so it's probably not something he would have done at your dog's last vet appt

I am glad I could make you laugh. We wipe our dogs butts with baby wipes after their poos so they don't get crusty butts, lol.
