Favorite LI Park/Nature Center?
What are some of your favorite outdoorsy places on LI? Doesn't necessarily need to have a playground or anything like that. Just a pretty place to walk around with my 2 year old this spring. TIA!

Sagamore Hill (Oyster Bay)
Avalon Park (Stony Brook)
No playgrounds at these places, but really nice outdoorsy places. And there's no admission (unless you tour the house at Sagamore, which we've never done)

We love Connettquott River St Park in Great River/ Oakdale.

Planting Fields Arboretum is my fav
We also go to Bayard Cutting Arboretum with the group on here and on our own alot!

Love, love, love the ecology center in Holtsville. They have a small zoo (perfect for that age!), a playground, picnic area and a trail where you can walk, run, skate, bike, etc.
Oh and its free
