If anyone had told me how tough the terrible 2's would be...
If anyone had told me how tough the terrible 2's would be... I don't think I would've had another baby!
DS #1 is sooooo difficult lately. Everything is a tantrum. It's his way or the highway.
I can't stand living constantly disciplining / yelling at him. It is sooooo exhausting. Even my Mom who watches him for me 2 days / week is extremely frustrated.
How long did the terrible 2's last? What scares me is that I often read that the 3's are worse. I just don't see how that is possible!

I say the same thing all the time. If I would have known this is how DS would be I would not have gotten pregnant at this moment. We are 6 weeks away from having baby #2 and I am dreading having a crying baby and dealing with the yelling and tantrums all at once. Everything is independence with him and it makes it very difficult to get through the day when he wants to do everything himself. I hope it gets better soon for everyones sake.

DS is almost 8, and he went through the whole cycle, and now DD is almost 5, and I almost long for the "terrible twos" some days.... As 2 turns to 3 and 4, they still have that defiance and independence, but now they are smarter, so it gets more manipulative and targeted.
They do eventually outgrow it.... eventually....

Hence why DS will be an only child...
The 3's are worse only because they can be just as "bad" but since they are more vocal, for some reason, it seems worse.
