Lover Unleashed *SPOILERS*
Okay, so I don't know anyone else who reads these personally and there are some things I need to get off my chest.
Didn't really care for the whole Payne/Manny story. I wanted to read about everyone else. I love Butch and V together. I wished their were some Tohr tidbits in their like Qhuinn was so that he wasn't off the radar till his turn. I like it when she has some of the stories running through other books, like she did with John Matthew.
Qhuinn is breakinig my heart. I hope the whole Layla thing is just him servicing her in her needing. JR Ward seemed to say they might get their own novellla, so hopefully Qhuinn and Blay get their HEA on.
How many friggin ba$tard kids is Butch/Manny's dad gonna have? Somehow I feel like Veck is even one of them. At least I'm glad there wasn't another turning...everyone can't become a vampire.
Can't wait for de la Cruz to run into Butch.

Have me confused. I like the idea of them fightening their own, but these guys? I'm torn between thinking Xcor is good or bad...seemed like she was making them out to have no honor, then he did...Either way, I see Throe jumping ship and joining the Brothers.
Sucks there was no sample chapter at the end....I hope this doesn't mean its 6-9 months for the next one.
Okay, I feel better now.

This was my least favorite of the books. I felt like she wanted to do another book on Vishous & Jane. And that's fine, but then commit to it. That story line and the Manny/Payne story lines were both done half-arsed IMO.
Where was No'One? She came over from the Other Side to care for Payne, and not even one mention in the entire (nearly 500 page) book?
No convo between Xhex & Payne about what it's like for a female to work with the Brothers? Another lost opportunity IMO.
Throne - I agree, I think he's going to end up a Brother.
Xcor - I saw on the BDB message boards some people think that he's an illegitimate brother of Wrath's, but honestly I don't see how that could be, especially since the Brothers were aware of his name and all that. Plus, I'm pretty sure Wrath's father was killed 50+ years before Xcor transitioned. Wasn't Wrath already transitioned when Darius went through the Bloodletter's camp, and then Vishous went through the camp quite a few years after that, and then Xcor would have gone through.
Veck - I think she's setting him up to be a main part of the next Fallen Angels book, rather than another sibling of Manny & Butch.

i would be shocked if xcor was wrath's half brother.
i agree that veck will prob be in an upcoming fallen angels book.
i am so sad about qhuinn and blay 
i am surprised that there was so little about any of the other brothers. i missed zsadist
was beth even mentioned??
i liked the book, but felt like it was a bit of a departure from the series. like, no inner workings of the lessening society?? i guess that little shifty one is still in charge after lash got murdered.
cant wait for the next one- whose up? tohr?

I thought it was okay. I didn't really like how the book wasn't committed to who it was about (Manny and Payne). It seemed like they hardly had a story..it was more focused on V and Jane.
I did like that there was not as much "lesser" chapters. I tend to skip over those 
I really really want there to be a book for Qhuinn and Blay!

Ahhhh...I have not read Fallen Angels yet. Did not realize there would be cross-over. I guess Ishould have thought of that with Lassiter. I hope she gets back to the meat of things and does Tohr next.
She did say on the boards she deleted scenes of Payne and No-one for pacing reasons...I think she should have left them. Those deleted scenes also led to the whole "I thought V was dead," "but I watched his whole life and he is good with Jane" problem.
I agree. My least fav. I think I'lll go reread Z's book now

LOL you had that down...and I agree. Now I know who to come to with my brother questions.
Oh, and isn't only like days since Lash died? And he was running out of lessers...so how are there now hundreds in days? Super mass inductions? All of Webster Hall drank the kool aide one Sat night?
And so while Payne was dying and Jane was gone to find Manello, they had a happy mating ceremony for John and Xhex?
ANd I was really bothered when Payne shows up after being abducted and Xcor had had time to even drive her around, and all the "good" guys were still playing around in the billiards room...

I know, especially since Xhex and the Brothers killed all the lessers that were made in that mass induction at that farmhouse at the end of the last book. Maybe they brought in lessers from outside Caldwell?

I know, there were a lot of timeline issues in this book, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on at points. Like when Qhuinn was at that bar and thinking about how JM & Xhex were in the habit of staying in when they were off rotation, meanwhile hadn't they only been together again for like a week?

Maybe it was a stress reliever thing? This book was a bit of a mess IMO.

First it must be said that this had to be the sexiest book of all of them... well maybe not "sexy" but sex-filled. 
I liked Payne/Manny together and how he held himself back from going all the way.
I havent started the Fallen Angels series yet but I intended to and now I really cant wait to. I love when authors blend the characters in different books.
I dont feel bad for Quinn, he kind of did this to himself... and his vision?? I guess there will be another "needing baby" on the way.
I love this series and hope the next one comes soon!
