Is it not considered EBF if you sometimes give DS bumped breastmilk?
On my other thread, a few moms said they would leave DC if they were not EBF. I mostly nurse but also pump so that DH and my mom can share in feedings.
Does that mean I am not EBF?
I thought EBF meant DS was only getting breastmilk?

I think it means both. It really depends on the context of the conversation and who is saying it

I do as well. After a few months I exclusively pumped but never gave formula. I still consider my child EBF.

I agree, for me regardless whether DC was getting it from the boob or pumped in a bottle, as long as it is my breastmilk and that is all DC is getting, that is EBF...

I think it is of course EBF if your LO only drinks BM.
I think the reason posters were saying that is b/c of the logistics. To maintain your supply at that point you would have to be pumping constantly (as often as the baby eats) and, even then, it might not be enough. Also, you'd have to have a big stash already for the baby to not need formula. Also, some people aren't comfortable giving bottles that early and may worry that the baby wont re-latch. But, I think all these things are really baby specific and mom specific and wouldnt necessarily be a problem for all.

The above reasons are why I said I wouldn't leave my NB because of EBF.
