Please help!
I have what appears to be a very sick cat lingering in my driveway (actually got into my garage at one point) He has bugs on him, he is very thin, and his coat is almost "diseased" looking (I know nothing about cats, and Im sure there is a more technical terms but there are spots that have no fur and are raw w/ whiteish green splotches)..
I called the town and they said they do not pick up cats....
Who do I call? I feel terrible
Town instructed me to call ASPCA and when I called them; they said they dont cant help me either...

Re: Please help!
Is there anyway you can trap the cat and bring it to a vet? It sounds like she is suffering. If not, a group I've dealt with before is All About Spay/Neuter. While she may not be able to help you, she may know of someone in your area who can. (516) 967-4648 (516) 850-1061. Thank you for trying to help this poor angel. Most people would just ignore it. I'm praying for this little one

Re: Please help!
Brookhaven Animal Shelter said they would come get the cat if I capture him....
Im pretty certain the cat will be back today; as I have seen him/her often since we moved into the house and it seems this may have been the cats home (I believe the previous owner left his cat behind )...
If i put some food in a cat carrier (to lure the cat to go inside) would that be ok? Wet food? Dry food?

Re: Please help!
let us know what happens. You can call the ASPCA but, they really do not have many workers and they usually take forever to respond.

wet food is more appetizing. I know some TNR people who use tuna fish if you dont have wet cat food

Try something appetizing like cut up chicken or even tuna fish maybe. That's great they will come get her/him, poor baby needs help!

I called them, and they were actually very snotty and made me feel like a fool for even calling them!
