Diaper Cake help
So I've learned how to assemble a diaper cake, but how do you stick the accessories onto the cake? I obviously don't want to ruin the diapers and glue the accessories to them, but I can't figure out a nice looking way of attaching them. TIA!!

Re: Diaper Cake help
Thanks! I looked through those links but when I tried to put the rubber band around the ducks, it just looked like I was choking them. Any other suggestions?

Here's a Rubber Ducky Cake, that might give you an idea, of how to incorporate the duck. Meanwhile, I'll keep researching it!!Mary

Re: Diaper Cake help
Cathy, most of the cakes I'm seeing have the rubber ducks on top. Have you already designated the top for something else? Mary

Re: Diaper Cake help
Mary - thanks for all your help!! I'm not trying to make anything specific, I was just wondering how to "stick" something on to the cake itself. For example, in the link you provided above, how in the world did she make the shampoo bottles stay on the diaper cake? I'm reading to start

Cathy, according to her comments she used doublestick tape, which I've used for craft projects, notably, for wedding crafts, but it depends on what you think best; I wouldn't want to put doublestick tape on some of the diaper cake gifts, but maybe the shampoo, etc. would be ok? Hang in there!!! Believe, I know it can be frustrating sometimes!!! Mary

ahha thanks, it is so frustrating sometimes! I completely agree with you on the tape - I don't want to put it on the diaper, it'll ruin it. I'm sure I'll figure out a way, thanks again!!

Re: Diaper Cake help
Maybe this will help, if you have fabric items, put them on with a ribbon and then use 2 sided tape to attach things to that.

Re: Diaper Cake help
I was trying to remember what else I have done and here is a great idea, buy a bag of popsicle sticks and tape item to that and then push it between diapers.
