Music Therapist Rave-Home Visits
I just wanted to rave about the music therapist I have that comes to my home 2x a week for 30 minute sessions. She incorporates everything into the session....it's a lot of speech therapy, OT and tons of fun all through movement and music. She is an amazingly talented singer and brings all sorts of instruments, including her guitar.
It's the best therapy my dd has. It has helped my dd in ways that I can't even list.
If you want any info regarding her, please feel free to fm me.
She is very affordable as she is still enrolled at Molloy (Rebecca School of Music). She is done with all her theory coursework but is just finishing up general core classes. She also interns at ALTERNATIVES as well as works at another school for special needs.

That's awesome!!! I'm a music therapist (and there aren't too many of us), so it's always nice to hear of MT's who are doing such great work
Oh and FYI: The Rebecca Center for Music Therapy is part of Molloy and the MT program...it's not a school of music

I would love to have her information. Our special ed teacher and SLP are both recommending a music group for my DD, or some other type of social group. I may try to get her a sensory group from EI and maybe do the music group/therapy on my own. Thanks!
Oh, and do you know which Alternatives she interns in?

Music Therapy is the best. My DD has alot of auditory sensory issues and her music therapy classes have helped tremendously. She goes to Alternatives and gets group music twice a week. All the music teachers there are very caring and wonderful.
