Cats Sedated for Lion's Cut
I have an adorable Himmie who has very long hair. Usually in the summer we bring her to the groomers for a Lion's Cut.
This year, she had a very bad sinus/upper respiratory infection, and her hair is so long & tangled that we need to do something now (she never wanted us to brush her when she was sick, so it led to this).
The vet is suggesting that we bring her to them to get the lion's cut under sedation b/c she has the risk of getting sick again from the groomers.
Just wondering if anyone has had this done and what their experience was.
TIA!

Re: Cats Sedated for Lion's Cut
I had this done with my kitty a few years ago and everything went very well. She was actually very happy to be fur free for the summer and her coat came back spectacularly. She was part himalayan also.
