is anyone a Curves member and if so do you know if you can cancel your year membership before the year is up?

I had a membership, but recently let it run out. At my former branch, if you cancelled before the year was up, they simply charged you the $10 per month you had saved by doing the automatic payment and let you out of the contract.

So say you signed up in January and wanted to cancel in August, they would charge you $80 - $10 per month that you had saved by not paying month to month. I asked about this before I signed the contract, though, and had it written in.
