Can you give me some more ideas for my silly kitchen theme?
I love the outdoors and nature. I had decided to incorporate this into my kitchen theme: very earthy.
I like things that are quirky and I love using things in an untraditional manner (for example, a flower pot to hold my Dawn soap, a watering can to hold my flowers, etc)
I have lanterns around and hanging ivy plants, and stained glass stars, etc- trying to give an outdoor dining feel. I also have a relaxing water fountain in the kitchen.
Any other ideas?

I fill vases, small and large candle holders with sand from the beach and place tea lights or pillar candles in them. I received bunch of very traditional vases and bowls for my wedding and did not like them. I did this and felt like it gave them a modern twist to otherwise unused crystal

How about seed packets in shadow boxes or even photos of your favorite plants as art?!?

Just found this:
If you have the room, this might make a really cool spice rack, and you could create one that fits the space, and what you want to mount on it.
