We started swimming for both very young.
Gymnastics started at 3.

They play other sports colloquially - but those are the ones that were 'organized'.

Re: sports
Soccer at 3 Karate at 4 T ball at 5 They will start Football in the fall at 6.
We let them do 2 things at a time so we had to drop soccer to start tball and karate is a constant.

Re: sports
My oldest is in Kindergarten now and has done:
Baseball/t-ball (clinic at age 5 but did lil sluggers and daddy and me before that at 3 and 4)
basketball clinic (K)
soccer (since age 3 - but didn't like it much unti he was in K)
He has taken swim lessons and when he was 2.5-5ish he has done gymnastics on and off.
My little one is only 3.5 and has been doing soccer in the fall and now again in the spring. He has been doing swim since a little before he turned 3 and gymnastics since 2.5yrs.

Re: sports
Soccer (3) Swim (4) Tball (5)
He wants to play LAX; and had I need missed registration he'd be doing that now at 5 as well...
I encourage all sports/activities; so he could play anything he likes...
