Watching TV
Does your dog watch tv?
If so, is it generally animal shows or just when they see an animal on TV?
I read an article that the dogs watch the light and illumination they cannot make out the figure. Meanwhile whenever my dog sees another dog he runs up to the tv.
Just curious

Re: Watching TV
My Sam does... constantly. Doesn't really matter what it is - doesn't have to be specifically pet related either...(Notice - he's watching Bethenny Ever After!!) It's so funny!

Re: Watching TV
Every time I watch a show like Dog Whisperer or It's Me or the Dog and someone has a squeaky toy on the tv, Riker immediately goes to his toy box, grabs a toy, and brings it to me! He also appears to be watching when there are dogs on there.

Re: Watching TV
my Cavalier watches TV and goes nuts when there are dogs or other animals...even cartoons of dogs....he even knows music to commercials that have dogs in them & will come running from another room when he hears it...our other dog does not. She looks out the window all confused at what the Cavalier is barking about

Re: Watching TV
Sushi used to love watching as a kitten...and she didnt care what it was (although she tended to prefer reality tv )
And Miso, while has little interest in the tv, tends to like Dr. Seuss on the computer

Re: Watching TV
That's so funny, we noticed Brinkley was watching Bethenny last night with us! I wonder if it's because sometimes her voice sounds like a squeaky toy.
They will watch animals on the screen and a couple of times, they barked at a weird noise/animal on a show.
For their birthdays they were in the office with me and one of my coworkers got them vanilla ice cream. We all sang Happy Birthday and then they got to eat their ice cream. So even on the tv, whenever they hear people singing Happy Birthday, they come running, all excited!
My Pavlov dogs.

Re: Watching TV
My dog definitely watches mainly kid shows. She barks at Boots all the time on Dora. She loves the bubble guppies.
Her favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba - I assume they look quite chewable. DD and I hate the show but the dog is rapt with attention.
Right now she's watching the Daily Show quite intently.
