I've taken my two to PetSmart groomers (in Farmingdale and West Babylon) and have always been very happy with them.
I'd suggest trying the one up by the Walt Whitman mall.

I take my guy to Petsmart next to Walt whitman mall, and a few times I took him to The soapy dog on Jericho Tpke

Petsmart also.
I have used boutiques, spent a fortune and Petsmart does the best job IMO

i have used petsmart in huntignton and TLC doggy day spa in huntington - TLC was actually cheaper and did a better job for my dog

We use PetSmart next to the WW mall - they do a good job.

Love TLC and so does my dog. He can be shy and he actually gets excited when we go in there.
