M/C Question???

Hello ladies,

I have a question that I hope someone will be able to help me with. On Thursday I found out I was having my 3rd mc. The first one I passed on my own because I didnt even know I was preggo, I just thought it was an early period. It was very painful and I bled for about 3 weeks. The second one I lost this past January and had D&C because I couldnt pass it on my own. After the D&C I hardly had any bleeding and one day of bad cramping. Now, when I went to the Dr on Thursday he told me the sac was totally collapsing and I was going to loose it. He said because I was so early (about 5 wks) he wanted to try and pass it on my own. He told me I was going to bleed heavy and have bad cramping, he even gave me RX for Tylenol with codiene. I was spotting Friday and Saturday and Sunday the bleeding got heavier (not heavy) and was clotty, but only for a short time. After that the bleeding seemed to slow down and now there is barely nothing there. I am usually not a heavy bleeder to begin with and period tends to come and go for a few days. I am going to call my Dr tomorrow to make an appointment because he wanted to see me once the bleeding slowed down. But was that the extend of the MC, was that all? I am just afraid not all of it came out. I just dont understand how my period can be worse than a MC. I also took and pregnancy test and it came back neg (never thought I'd be happy to see that) Has anyone ever experienced this. I'm just nervous that this isnt over yet and the bleeding is going to come back with a vengeance

Just want to say also that I am new to LIF and reading all your stories makes me feel like I am reading about my life. Only people who have gone through this can really understand how hard it is and Im glad I found a place like this and I wish us all baby dust

The only thing I can say is everyone I have had I always passed on my own, and there was no question about it. I always knew, not to be gross, but it was hard to miss, But I was 7 & 8 weeks. I would def call your doctor, mine always did a sono to make sure everything was gone. Best of luck to you when you start trying again! I also am new to LIF! Heres some baby dust right back at ya!!

Like PP said, youd know if you passed something... you can feel it... you should definitely go in for a sono

I def think I passed something, it was about he size he said it would be. I called today and they are going to call me back to fit me in to get a sono done. I just hope that this is over and I can move forward.

I had a natural miscarriage. My sonos were coming up clean, but I actually passed the sac 6 weeks after I started bleeding.

I started bleeding on Feb 5th - I passed the sac on March 12th. I had numerous sonos that showed that the sac was gone. The doctors don't understand what happened. I have no idea what happened. That is not the norm though.

They will be able to tell more with another sono and bloodwork. I'm so sorry you have to go through this again!

How far along were you? I can tell you at 8 weeks I knew what was passing. Not sure if the earlier you are the less stuff?? My gut tells me you didnt pass it all. However, the negative pregnancy test would say you did. The true way for them to tell would be to do a sono. My levels were still high after the MC and through the sono, they saw things still there. (not the embryo though).

I was about 5 weeks. I went for a sono and it showed that everything was clean. I told my dr that it was very light and that I wouldnt be surprised if there was still more. But as per the sono it was all gone. But here is another question...ever since this has happend my stomach has not been the same and I have these very subtle pains on my sides, any ideas?? This process really sucks
