Pre-School Decisions

It's so hard to find a good pre-school. I want to use the one my son went to, but they only offer the afternoon session in the 4-year old class. DD turned 3 in March. She is very talkative, can follow directions, full potty trained, etc. I am wondering if it is even possible to put her in the 4-year old program or do schools not do that. She wouldn't be 4 until March.

Did anyone put their DC in preschool for the 4-year olds when they were only 3 1/2?

TIA

DD has always been the youngest in her preschool bc her bday is Nov 26th. (Right now many are 5 and shes 4.5) BUT I think they ONLY do this when that child will be in that age groups grade. I wouldnt think they would do it with your dd bc she wouldnt be with the people she would start Kindergarten since you are talking about march. I am not sure why you would want to seperate that anyhow since most of her pees will graduate and go to K and she will have to stay another yr.
adding-I can give you the name of dds preschool through FM if you want it. I have NO WORRIES at all that she is where she is supposed to be educationally. She went for her K screening today and I know she passed with flying colors. No concerns at all.

Re: Pre-School Decisions

The preschool she goes to now is not in our district so she wouldn't be attending K with them anyway. I only ask because of scheduling. I work FT and would need afternoon. My FIL can take her, but I would have to pick her up. If your preschool is afternoon (it would have to end near 3pm), I would love for you to share it with me.

Re: Pre-School Decisions

where are you located? The school we use has a class room of 3's & 4's together. Its 9:30-2:30, but she does offer before and after care.

Re: Pre-School Decisions

I am in Port Jeff, but my in-laws are in Saint James. They would be coming from their house.
Thank you. I wish the preschool my son goes to now offered after care.
