i cannot see dr b anymore and i hve also been to rma but wasnt in love kwim?
i have empire gov plan and reallllly need a doc who is very smart and cutting edge bc of my problems. does anyone have recs??? ty v much

I saw Dr. Sung at RSoNY. I don't know how cutting-edge she is because my problem was pretty textbook (anovulation that responded to Clomid). But I got pg on my first IUI, so no complaints! And the office is very accommodating with early morning monitoring, plus the nurses are fantastic and answer questions quickly and compassionately whenever you call. I went to the Mineola office but they have others around the Island, and I know Dr. Sung is at each one on different days.

Oh, and I have Empire gov't too and never had any billing issues.

I too was a patient of RSofNY but in Stony Brook. I have Empire Plan and only had to pay copays once I got pregnant - never had any billing or insurance problems. I had unexplained infertility and got pregnant on my second cycle with clomid and IUI.

I just wanted to add that I am not sure how cutting edge they are,however, I did notice there were a lot of other women with success stories there

I was also a patient of RSof NY. I used their W. Islip office. I really liked Dr Stelling. I had my consults with him and saw him some of the time for monitoring. I had monitoring for 8 months hoping to make my way to an IUI. Never got there. and 4 IVF cycles (2 fresh , 2 frozen) I only ever paid a co-pay the 3 times I was pregnant (2MC).
I also paid co-pays for meds.

I saw Dr. Zapantis at East Coast. I know they're not all that popular on the IF board, but I had a good experience there. And we really liked Dr. Zapantis.

I saw Dr. Tortortellio at SIRM after seeing Dr. B for over a year. I got pregnant with my first shot there.

I went to RSofNY and loved Dr. Sung. We had male factor infertility and Dr. Sung was fantastic. She was very nice and sympathetic. We had a fresh IVF cycle that failed and 1 FET cycle that failed but I guess third times a charm because my second FET cycle worked and I am now 13 weeks pregnant with twins.

I saw Dr. Cohen at NSUH and loved him and all of the other doctors I saw there. Times were very convenients and even though it was a pretty big practice, I always felt everything was individualized. Wishing you lots of luck!

I saw dr. San roman, dr. Cain, and dr. Halfen @ rs of ny in stony brook. Loved San roman and Halfen, wasn't crazy about Cain but then again Im not crazy about female docs. The office was wonderful. I also have empire plan nyship. No copays unless u r pg. We got pg on first round of iui, third round of clomid.
