I haven't worked out in almost a week!
My last workout was last Wednesday. Thursday I had a little tickle in my throat and by Friday it was a full blown unknown sickness sicne I couldn't see a dr over the weekend. I thought about the er, but decided to wait it out and I'm still miserable.
I can't breathe well and am weak, weak, weak. I'm leaving work early today to finally see a dr.
No real point here, just bummed!!

Sorry! I hate when that happens; I always feel like I lose my workout mojo.
Look at it this way - its easier to just get right back on track after an illness in warmer months than cold months. At least for me, it is.
But its also important to let your body heal. Hopefully its something that can be taken care of easily. Feel better!!!

I had the same thing. I went on vacation and got a horrible cold half way through. I so did not want to do anything cause I couldn't breathe and I was so miserable. Once I was feeling a little better I just tried walking/jogging one day to see how I felt. I def was weaker and not able to do as much but it did make me feel better to get out and get some fresh air and get a little exercise. Hopefully you feel better soon

I got sick in january and just returned to the gym lst week. Please go back as soon as u can your body will thank you

Even when you are not feeling well there are still exercises you can do to keep your body in line with your workouts. Try walking, indoors our out, for as long as your body will allow. Even if it's just 10-15 minutes that is so much better then nothing. Do some squats and lunges. Those are easy on your breathing and will keep your legs strong. Take mini weights and do tricep exercises and bicep curls. All of these little exercises will make going back to the gym so much easier for you.
Yes your body needs time to recover when you are not feeling well but you should be able to get in 10-15 minutes of light exercise in order to help you stay on track. Once you start feeling 80-90% then start getting back to your normal routine. Good luck and feel better.
