newly pg with trips!
hello all, some of you may remember me but I"m coming on here to get some insight from you lovely ladies. I've been ttc for 4 years now. finally did my last of 6 ivf's and with the help of intrallipids (I had high nk cells all along) I finally got my BFP but it's triplets. I am still with Dr. Braverman but planning to move on, esp now since he doesnt take my insurance!!
I would love to know of a good high risk doctor in Nassau Co. or on the border between that takes GHI. Dr. Kofinas doesnt take any insurance at all. Who do you all see and do you like them? They are perinatologists right? The later we see a regular obgyn? or can they deliver also?

Re: newly pg with trips!
I don't have any dr. advice since I saw Dr. Kofinas (who I do highly highly recommend...he didn't take my regular insurance but he did take my out of network coverage, which just meant that I had a higher deductible to cover before insurance kicked in). I saw Dr. K. (who is a perinatologist) and my regular dr. on alternating weeks with my twins, if you go to your regular ob they should be able to recommend a peri's office that they work with. Good Luck and congrats!!
ETA: Perinatologists do not deliver, your regular OB would be on the only delivering you!

Re: newly pg with trips!
Congratulations!!!
I am currently almost 25 weeks pregnant with triplets.. and I also have GHI insurance and began my journey with Dr. B. I live in Nassau county and wanted a Nassau county Peri, however Kofinas (who came HIGHLY recommended from everyone) didnt take my insurance, and I just couldn't afford the out of network costs, especially since I have been out of work since 20weeks and will not be returning for a couple of years. Anyways, she is not in Nassau county, but I see Dr. El Kady...she is located in West Islip at Good Samaritan Hospital. It is about a 30 minute drive from my house, but she is definitely worth it. I absolutely love her. And carrying triplets, and having elevated NK cells (very similar to you), I have been seeing her every other week since 9 weeks. Although its not an easy drive, its not that bad, and I would rather take the drive and see a great DR. Along with her I see Dr. Pillitteri...he is my OB that will be delievering the triplets at Good Samaritan Hospital. If you do not have an OB, I highly recommend him. I actually received his recommendation from Dr Braverman. He has a lot of experience delivering multiples...and on average delivers 3 sets of triplets a year.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to FM me with any questions or concerns. You are completely blessed to be carrying triplets!!!!!

Re: newly pg with trips!
First off Congrats!!!! I used Maternal Fetal Medicine on Northern Blvd in Manhasset. They deliver out of NSUH and I LOVED them. Dr Lewis was my favorite and she delivered my trio. They do all the sonos right there in the office. I will look up the number for you...I had GHI when I used them...Good Luck to you!!!!

1st off Congratulations . 2nd, Kofinas takes out of network benefits. You have to call the office and see if they take your OON benefits. If they do, all you pay is your specialist co-pay and they write off the balance. I used Kofinas so i can't reccommend anyone else. congrats again. Happy and healthy 9 months!

YAY! another triplets mom. Congratulations!!! I am also expecting triplets. I will be 27 weeks along tomorrow and so far everything is great! YAY! I have not been on bed-rest, nor have I had any complications
I also see Dr. Victor Klein and have been seeing him since I "graduated" from my RE. He came highly recommended and I couldn't have asked for more. He is totally hands on! He also did my preventive cerclage and my amnio testing. He does it all!!! YAY!!! He is affiliated with NSUH (Manhasset) If you like any more information on him please feel free to ask.
He is a Perinatologists and he does deliver the babies himself! He has been practicing for over 30 years and has delivered tons of triplets!
Edit to add doctor info....
