New here and looking for a new ob
I am cautionly expecting my first child after trying for almost 3 years of trying w/ 2 miscarriages, numerous failed iui's and 1 failed fresh ivf cycle and finally a fet which did the trick. I am praying this one is the one
My dh and I are considering changing ob. We live in queens but are looking for an ob in Nassau county that delivers at either south nassau, winthrop or nsuh. We really an ob that would be supportive of our wishing to have a natural birth.

Re: New here and looking for a new ob
Congratulations!!!!
My first pregnancy I wanted to go natural and they allowed me to for 24 hours, after 24 hours and being soooo tired they suggested an epi with no pressure, left the decision up to me.
This pregnancy I am attempting VBAC and they are very supportive, if I go into labor I will be attempting natural as well.
These are my doctors: Complete Women's Healthcare Dr. Dilena (very sweet, soft spoken and explains everything) Dr. Nadell (nice, funny, very easy to talk to, answers all questions with patience) Dr. LoPresti (very nice, more on the serious side, takes the time to answer all questions) 877 Stewart Ave Garden City 516-683-6800

I use University Plaza OB/Gyn on Stewart Ave. in Garden City. I love Dr. Miller and Dr. Cafaro. They were very supportive in my plan to go natural with DC 1. They are affiliated with Winthrop.

Re: New here and looking for a new ob
Dr. Victor Klein. He's in Great Neck, delivers at NSUH Manhasset. He is WONDERFUL (albeit quirky )!! He delivers a ton of high risk pregnancies and I cannot recommend him enough.
If you google him, you'll see he's considered an expert and has a number of articles and interviews. Here's one...

I worked with the midwife in this office, and loved her. Dr. Plancher is great too though; very natural-birth oriented.

Dr. Jennifer Hanauer was recommended to me by two close family friends that are labor and delivery nurses at Winthrop. She is an amazing woman and doctor. Best of luck to you!

Re: New here and looking for a new ob
I know that Hanauer comes highly recommended, but her office is SOO busy, it's really hard to get an appt.
I love Bethpage ObGyn, where she started out. I use Dr. Storch and Dr. Thanus and they are both excellent. They only deliver at Winthrop.

Me too! At each appointment I've seen a different doctor there and so far I like Dr. Anita Sadatay the best. No complaints on any of them tho!

crashing...congrats!!!!!
I also used Dr Jacob, her c-section rate is very low...her appts are super quick but the wait is sometimes super long. I always made my apts early in the morning 7:30am...and would wait 15mins top. I was all for vag. birth and thought i would have a c-section since my baby was very big, well to my surprise i delivered vaginally to a 9.5lbs baby girl.
