ENT.....need advice
I think it is time for me to bring DD to an ENT. While she has had only 4 ear infections in the last year, this last one just isn't clearing up. We are on round 3 of meds.
Any suggestions?
Our Ped suggested Dr. Lee Smith at LIJ. Anyone been to him?? happy, unhappy? any feedback?
Just wanted to see other suggestions as well.

I'm in eastern suffolk so I don't have a recommendatio, but I'm in the same boat. Dd has had 3 ear infections since Feb and on 5 meds. I think were off to see an ent too soon. She is such a terrible sleeper with the ear infections and cries much of the night. I just feel like the time is coming for something more drastic.

i use Dr. Zelman for myself. He did my ear surgery in 2003 and i absolutely LOVE him!!! But I don't think he specializes in pediatrics. i use Dr. Mendolsohn. he's part of his practice, but a different office.

We are seeing Dr Zahtz at LIJ on tuesday - have been waiting over a month for an appt but I heard he is the best - dd has run the gammut with ear issues and we are most likely looking at tubes for chronic fluid issues

I just saw Dr Ditkoff in Manhasset yesterday for Nicholas tongue tie & will be going on Friday for JJ for possible tubes! LOVED him! He is young & down to earth, not a pushy guy at all but gives it to you straight!

I just saw Dr Smith Monday!! He treated my 1st DD while she was in Snyders childrens hospital and just saw him on monday for DD #2 due to similar problems he is wonderful very efficent and explains everything to you, he also isnt the type of Dr to run out of the room on you he spends time and answers all your questions DH and I are very happy with him.

I use Dr. Mendelsohn in Garden City. He put tubes in my daughter's ears over a year ago and she's been great.

I'm not sure where you live...but I work at southside and Dr. Campbell is AMAZING!! He is so great with the kids and such a personable MD.
Dr. O'Donnell is awesome as well and really easy on the eyes!

We also use Dr. Zelman in GC- both for me and DS. He did DS's tubes.
