Woman is Brought Into Court for Piercing the Ears of Cats and Kittens
Her argument is parents pierce the ears of their young children, how is this different?

It's not the same.
i've never seen a child scratch their ears with their feet.
I am even horrified thinking about the damage these poor kitties can inflict on themselves just by scratching their ears like the usually do. They would rip these hoops right out.

Not to mention, their skin is so thin over their ears; it's mainly cartilage. That had to be painful for them.
