I had my boys! The story
Last Thursday morning, I was complaining to my husband how much pain I was in. My belly was hard as a rock and I just couldn't get comfortable. Then I started vomiting and I knew it was time to go back to the hospital.
The doctors and nurses ran a series of tests and thought that it might just be preterm labor. They were considering sending me home but I expressed how nervous I was that this could happen again (this was the 3rd time I had been in the hospital).
Then things started to change. I starting to show signs of preeclampsia...high blood pressure, seeing spots, etc. I had to check my urine for 24 hours but there were no concerns there.
I was induced Saturday night around 6pm and started to dilate rather quickly after given the meds. My water broke almost right away.
I delivered Joseph and Nicholas at 4:59am and 5:24am, respectively Sunday morning (exactly 36 weeks). I had a vaginal delivery which I still can't believe. Joseph was 5 lbs 8 oz, 19 inches long. Nicholas was 5 lbs 3 oz, 18 inches long.
I stayed on the magnesium IV all day Sunday...wow did that wipe me out!!
My blood pressure started to go down after I had the boys, however, the doctors were watching me closely since I lost so much blood. Fortunately, I was spared a blood transfusion (I couldn't believe they even mentioned that to me).
I was discharged on Tuesday, but unfortunately, baby Nicholas wasn't ready to come home with us just yet. He was eating very slowly, and eating very little. He is in the NICU and is making progress. I hope he can come home soon. It was so difficult for me to bring home one son and not both.
The staff at LIJ in NHP was absolutely amazing. I can't thank my doctor enough for all that she did for me and her careful monitoring. All the doctors, nurses, residents, etc made me feel so comfortable. Although I had some complications throughout my 6 days there, I was definitely in good hands.

Great job!! So exciting that you were able to deliver them vaginally. Magnesium is NO FUN!!!
Lots of  Nicholas is home with you real soon!
Can't wait to meet them

I had magnesium after my DS's birth. Not fun!!!
Congratulations on your boys (and delivering vaginally!). Can't wait to see pics!!!!!
