What do you do to...

bump up your workout routines, to see a loss?

I am not losing any weight!!! It is like my body is stuck at this weight and refuses to change no matter how I tweak things.

I already workout 3-5 hours a week (obviously averaging 4 hours a week).
I usually do 30 minutes on the treadmill, in addition, 30 minutes of swimming laps or 30 minutes playing tennis or 10-20 minutes toning/weights/machines. Some days I do 40-60 minutes of pilates.

For those who question the food consumed- I am also taking that into account with my workout. I calorie count and most of my food comes from fruits and veggies. I basically eat oatmeal and 1-2 cups of fruit in the morning. For snacks I eat cups of fruits and veggies with greek yogurt. Lunch varies, but it is healthy and sustaining. Dinners are also the same, but I try to better portion my meats and cheeses. I do not have dessert, if I do it is more fruit or sometimes a piece of dark chocolate.

What should i be doing regarding exercise to burn more or see more results in my body? I already run, walk on inclines, do pilates, swim laps, play tennis, etc. Should I be doing these activities longer than I suggested? Should I try to increase the amount of time or the difficulty level? Is there a certain type of exercise I am not doing yet that I should be adding in?

Ramping up my workout has never worked for me, but going to maintenance calories for a few days/weeks always works. You're doing a lot of activity though, have you considered putting the scale away and using a tape measure to track your progress? I would gather that you're losiing inches with all of that but aren't seeing it on a scale. Do your clothes feel looser?

I do look better, tighter-etc, but I'm actually gaining inches as well. I've gained an inch around my waist within the past 4 months! The scale, I stay the same but fluctuate back and forth between the same pounds.

Re: What do you do to...

Do you track your food with anything like fitday or myfitnesspal? Maybe track for a week to see what you're really eating. I just did this with sugar and realized I was eating WAY too much. How much protein are you getting?

You honestly sound so very active already that I would focus on diet and play with that a bit. Maybe work a little more on weights and do a bit less cardio?

Just some ideas.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I already count my calories and do track it using fitday and some other applications. I track my ratios of protein/carbs/fat, etc.
