Back from LI 2 Day!
What an amazing event!
Despite the rain, and it being a little cold, it was an amazing event!!!
35 miles over 2 days - 20 miles the first day, then we camped out (where we slept in tents while it thundered and lighteninged all night  ), and then 15 miles the 2nd day.
It is one of my most favorite events, so I'm sharing a few pictures. Just because
Doing the warmup with a fellow Zumba instructor. Since I was doing the walk aand was freezing, I am bundled up in LI 2 Day gear, and not all Zumbad out! I am wearing 3 layers

The Shirley EMS provided entertainment at every rest area - they danced, had us do the limbo, electric slide, YMCA...
Our 5 star accomodations
The last mile the survivors are given pink t-shirts. This woman on the right was in the group I walked with. She is an amazing young mom of 4. Seeing all the women wearing pink - some teenagers - brought tears to my eyes. We stand in 2 lines as they march in lines of 4's and we applaud them.
I was crying too hard to take the pics!!!
Beautiful, amazing, life changing event. This was my 2nd yr doing it. I hope to do this every year!!!!!!
Thanks for looking. Not the most exciting pics, I know. It's so hard to capture the energy of something like this event!!!

First time reading about this and I gotta tell you, Im here crying. Mom of 4!!!!! My twin girls are taking their morning naps and Im so moved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
