Need some ideas for a fitness challenge!!
My 3 sisters and I are going on a cruise at the end of August with our parents and kids. We are all in our mid to late 30s, all working mothers, 2 of us are single moms. All of us do our best to incorporate fitness into our lives, but none of us are extreme/very regular in working out. I want to do a fun challenge to get ready for our cruise (ie bathing suits!).
If you have any creative ideas for a fun but realistic 8 week challenge please let me know! Right now, I'm setting the goal of "30 minutes of something 5 days a week". Should I send an email every day or at the beginning of the week to tell them specifically what to do? Example: 50 crunches, 10 pushups, stay in plank for 1 minute, etc.

This will probably exceed what you are looking for, and I know as a F/T working mom that it's a lot of time to block off, however, I still want to throw out the idea of checking out hot yoga.
I know my studio offers 10 consecutive days of unlimited hot yoga for $20.00.
I've heard other hot yoga/Bikram regulars on here mention their studios offer similar packages.
It is a fun thing to check out together if you are able.
It's not as intimidating to go initially with people you know.

If you have an iPhone, download the "Workout of the Day" App. It gives you a different wokrout that you can do at home everyday. You can easily send these along! Check out the site too!
