facebook chat question
is there a way to permanently disable the chat so I am always offline?
I have tried going into the chat and selecting "Go Offline", but then everytime I sign in it signs me back into the chat. And if I am still logged into fb it sometimes just keeps signing me back into the chat.
I find the chat annoying and I have this girl that chats me everytime I am on...I just want to turn it off so I don't have to be bothered.
I didn't see anything in the Account Settings. Am I missing something?

thats weird... i have mine offline and it stays that way no matter what computer i use or if i log in or out...

I have the same issues as you, and I think it is because I sign on from various computers. 2 home computers, a work computer, the iphone and the ipad.
