CPSE-Speech and OT
Does anyone have an agency they would recommend for home Speech and OT for CPSE level ? SEIT is going to be through Marion Salomon, but I was told speech and OT may be really difficult to fill. I have 4 x 30 speech that I would like to do at home. OT could be 2x 30. (I have 3x30 but my dd will be going to a sensory gym 1x a week).

Re: CPSE-Speech and OT
We had an amazing OT through Kidz Therapy.
Are you dealing with "cathy" at marion K Salomon? She is the LEAST helpful person. After her last encounter... let's say, I only speak to her boss or whoever wants to speak to me.... just NOT her!

Re: CPSE-Speech and OT
Thanks Ladies ! Kidz Therapy actually called me earlier (my school district contacted them). However, once again I heard it may be difficult. (this has always been the case).
I am looking for morning hours.
There are just so many agencies, and it's so nutty how EI differs from CPSE and then maybe CSE. I have a great speech therapist now but she doesn't do CPSE , so we have to start with someone new. Frustrating.

Therapists are mostly women. They like to work morning so they can go home to their kids in the afternoon after school.
Also they make more $$$ working in EI than CPSE. Some agencies don't even do CPSE, they only do EI.

not sure where you are, but we used O'Connel and Selig in Huntington. We were very happy with our SP and OT

Re: CPSE-Speech and OT
Hmmmm, the speech therapist we had through Marion Salomon gave speech services at home for DS under EI. I know that she works with two girls in his daycare center (they are too old for EI services, so she must be qualified to work with CPSE children also). She lives by me, so not so close to you, but if you would like, I'll pass her name along to you. Is the difference that CPSE services are usually given in preschools or centers? I think it all depends how your IEP was written.
We went with Kidz Therapy now that he needs more services, and I've found them to be pretty easy to work with in terms of scheduling. We had some trouble since DS started late May, so the end of the school year, but ultimately, we did find people.
FM if you have questions!
